1. Choose Your Preferred Position

Upon starting Superstar mode, you can choose your avatar’s main position. Apart from positional intricacies, each position ultimately dictates how the Superstar experience, gameplay, and progression go!

Quarterback: Pitches, hands the ball off, or runs the ball himself during run plays.

Halfback: Extra blocker on running plays and sometimes catches a pass from the Quarterback.

Wide Receiver: The fastest players on the field, they often catch passes from the Quarterback and carry run plays.

Linebacker: A defensive role that snuffs out offensive plays depending on their position in the field.

Cornerback: On pass plays, prevents Receivers from catching the ball. On running plays, tackles the ball carrier.

2. Changing Roles and Deleting Characters

To change your role after creating a character, choose to swap avatars while you are in the Play tab. Remember that your initial character will still be available whenever you try to swap avatars. To permanently delete a character, hover over the avatar you want to delete and press the Delete button!

3. Personalize Your Character

After creating your avatar, you will get the chance to customize your character’s traits. While inherently limited in the variety department, you can express your style and gameplay with the customization options!

4. Set Archetypes and Skills

Each position has a unique set of archetypes and skills corresponding to a style of play. For example, if you are a Wide Receiver, you can choose to either be an elusive tactician who exploits any route or a blitzing speedster that leaves defenders in the dust! However, if you would prefer to create a character unique only to yourself, you can choose to allow 15 points to any skill of your liking.

5. Set Abilities

Abilities are skill-locked feats you can allot a player to make them stand out in their position! You can unlock abilities by reaching specific ratings for a skill and then equip them by slotting them into an ability slot, which you can have more unlocked as you level up your Superstar!

6. Show Off in the Scouting Combine

Scouting CombineBefore getting drafted into a team, you must show physical feats, experience, and intellect in the Scouting Combine to attract potential sponsors!

7. Combine Mini-Games

Physical EvaluationsTo start the Scouting Combine, your Superstar will go through a fundamental set of exercises and a unique course designed for your position to determine your draft ranking. Make sure to at least get an A rating for all of the drills to get a permanent +5 boost to corresponding skills!

8. The Combine Interview

After the physical evaluation, you will be prompted to participate in an interview that tests your knowledge of NFL trivia. You can decline this interview, but it is recommended to take it to increase the probability of being drafted into a better team!

9. Participate in Narrative Scenarios

As you play through the game, various narrative scenarios will be prompted to your Superstar. Moments where you are practicing in the field, having a meeting with your coach, and having a team meeting will unlock new quest lines and increase your skills depending on your decision!

10. Complete Archetype-Specific Questlines

Depending on your decisions in narrative scenarios, your quests will change corresponding to your answers. For example, if you answer that you would prefer to rest, you will have better physical stats for the rest of the season.

11. Dominate the League

Starting from the pre-season up to the big leagues, use your NFL skills and Superstar’s steady accumulation of experience and training to prove that you are the best in the league.

New Features

Import Feature for College Football 25 Player

For players with a College Football 25 Player who finished the Junior Season, the import feature makes a comeback. You can import said character to MADDEN 25 by first pressing the “Leave for the NFL” option, and then choosing their position in 25. Importing a character gives additional benefits which include but are not limited to carrying over your collegiate awards, getting a head start on ratings, +5 more Creation Points for skills, and accelerating your progression!

More Stats From Combine

Unlike past iterations of MADDEN NFL, the Scouting Combine now plays a more drastic role in setting up your Superstar. Along with a boost to your draft ranking, the Scouting Combine now gives you additional stats based on your performance on a specific test.

New Preset Archetypes

Madden 25, along with the earlier preset archetypes, introduces additional archetypes for each position! Furthermore, you can now personally allocate into skills that you want apart from the preset to start off with a specific playstyle!

New Performance-Based Quests

Madden 25 introduces a new quest system that tailors its progression based on your performance and decision-making during narrative moments, allowing you to feel the weight of every decision you undertake during your career.

Teammate Abilities

With the newly added teammate abilities, you will gain abilities that passively improve your teammates’ performance in certain areas as you progress through the season with your team. For example, you can enhance your Quarterback’s ability to land deep passes for your Wide Receiver Superstar!

We believe that if you master and understand these steps and new features, you will have the best experience in Madden 25 Superstar Mode!
